Small jobs, done properly. A toilet that will not stop filling, a sink that drains in its own time, a tap that has dripped for a year. None of it is dramatic and all of it is annoying.
Water trickling into the pan continuously is normally a worn flush valve or a fill valve that is not shutting off. It is a routine repair, and worth doing sooner rather than later — a constantly running toilet wastes a surprising amount of water, which matters if you are on a meter.
Usually a failed siphon or flush mechanism, or a partial blockage further down.
From the cistern, from the pan connector, or from the base. Each has a different fix and it is worth identifying which before pulling anything apart.
We clear it and, more usefully, work out why it blocked. Repeated blockages usually point to something in the waste run rather than to what has been flushed.
Close-coupled, back-to-wall, wall-hung or concealed cistern. Old properties often need a new pan connector and sometimes waste alterations.

Usually a worn washer on a traditional tap or a failed ceramic cartridge on a modern one. Cheap to fix and worth doing.
Limescale in hard water areas, or a cartridge at the end of its life.
Waste connections, trap seals, flexible tap connectors and isolation valves all fail eventually. If there is water in the cupboard, find it early — the damage to the units usually costs more than the repair.

Washing machine and dishwasher connections, outside taps, stopcock and isolation valve replacement, shower valve repairs, waste pipe alterations, and general pipework. If it is plumbing and it is small, ring and ask.
It is normally under the kitchen sink or where the mains enters the property. Turn it off and on once a year so it does not seize. If it will not turn when you need it, that half-second of not knowing costs you a ceiling.
A dripping tap or a running toilet is a small fault, but it is also a fault that is getting worse. They are cheap to fix now.
It rarely clears a proper blockage and it makes the job genuinely hazardous for whoever opens the trap. Tell us if you have used it.
